Description
Hollow Fossil guarantees that the item it helps craft comes out with an Abyssal socket. That socket is the only way to slot an Abyss Jewel, so the fossil is less about raw stats and more about opening a slot other crafting cannot give you.
Fossils are not used directly on an item. Place the Hollow Fossil into a Resonator and use the Resonator on the target — the number of sockets on the Resonator decides how many fossils you can combine in one craft.
It drops from completing a Crystal Spire node in Abyssal Depths biomes in the Azurite Mine, which means stocking up on it is a matter of steering your Delve path toward that biome.
