Hunter's Exalted Orb

Hunter's Exalted Orb adds Hunter influence to a rare item and rolls a new Hunter modifier onto it. The influence tag is what unlocks that modifier pool, so the orb does two jobs at once: it marks the item and it fills one of its open affix slots.

Right click the orb, then left click a high-level rare item that carries no influence yet. Items already touched by another influence are not valid targets, and a rare can hold up to six random modifiers in total, so plan the remaining slots before you commit.

Hunter modifiers cover some of the strongest bases in the game, which is why this orb sits at the expensive end of the crafting bench. Most players reach for it only once the item underneath is already worth finishing.
